Miami Beach car rentals · Naming round

Four names, one tagline.

Logo mockups in the Art Deco, neon-Miami direction the owners liked: name first, then “Top Down, Volume Up.” Below each one is why it made the cut, and further down, why Sunroof Social and Soft Top Society didn't.

The short version

  1. Drop Top Society — keeps the “Society” they already liked and fixes the hardtop objection. The safest step forward.
  2. Midnight Collins — the best fit for the Art Deco logo, rooted in a real Miami Beach street, and it works for the SUVs too.
  3. Valet Famous — the boldest and most social-media-ready. Built for the moment the car pulls up.
  4. Velvet Rope Miami — the most upscale. The VIP line, the crème de la crème.

Start with the fleet

A name about the roof has to be true for the cars. Only two of the five are true convertibles, and one of those is a hardtop.

That's why the tagline matters so much: “Top Down, Volume Up.” already makes the open-air promise. The name is free to carry the attitude instead: money, nightlife, being seen.

Why not the earlier favorites

Sunroof Social

  • The owner's objection is right: none of these cars is sold on its sunroof. The Corvette and M4 lose the whole roof.
  • A sunroof is an everyday feature on ordinary sedans. It sounds like an upgrade option, not an exotic rental.
  • “Social” alone reads like a brunch spot or a club, so it needs a car word to anchor it.

Worth keeping: the friends-and-party energy of “Social.” Drop Top Social is a fine fallback if they prefer it to Society.

Soft Top Society

  • It leaves out the flagship. The Corvette is a hardtop, which is exactly the objection already raised.
  • “Soft” is the opposite of the energy they want: loud, sexy, money.
  • Name and tagline would both be about the roof (“Soft Top… Top Down”), so the tagline loses its punch.

Worth keeping: “Society” — exclusive, members-only, the crème de la crème. Drop Top Society keeps it and fixes the roof.

The logos

Drop Top SOCIETY TOP DOWN, VOLUME UP.

Drop Top Society TOP PICK

“Drop top” is slang for any convertible, hard or soft, so it answers the Corvette objection while keeping the “Society” they liked. The synthwave sun says Miami at sunset before anyone reads a word.

Why
Smallest leap from what they already liked. Society = exclusive, members-only.
Watch
“Drop Top” and “Top Down” repeat the word; for a party brand it reads like a chant. The Grand Cherokees don't drop their tops.
MIDNIGHT COLLINS TOP DOWN, VOLUME UP.

Midnight Collins

Collins Avenue after dark is exactly the scene they're selling: the hotels, the clubs, the slow cruise past the neon. Monoton's inline letters look like a Deco hotel sign, which makes this the strongest match for the logo style they want.

Why
Place-rooted and specific. Fits every car, including the Grand Cherokees.
Watch
“Midnight” leans nightlife; daytime and airport customers still need to feel welcome.
VALET Famous TOP DOWN, VOLUME UP.

Valet Famous

The car becomes the entrance. Everyone in Miami Beach knows the moment at the valet stand when heads turn. The arch borrows from the Deco hotel facades on Ocean Drive, in pastel daytime colors for contrast with the night designs.

Why
Boldest, most quotable, made for Instagram and TikTok.
Watch
Could be mistaken for a valet parking company. Always pair it with “Miami Car Rentals.”
Velvet Rope MIAMI TOP DOWN, VOLUME UP.

Velvet Rope Miami

The line outside the club, and being the one who skips it. Gold and velvet push this toward the wealthy end of the market, the crème de la crème, without saying “luxury.”

Why
Most upscale of the four. Fits every car in the fleet.
Watch
Velvet names are common in South Florida hospitality (a Velvet Limo already operates there), so this needs the closest conflict check.
